This was the produced chariot cart built in MMAE 432 for a game of dodgeball. The cart device was designed out of card board tubes and insulation boards. Our final weight was 7.7kg. The focus was maneuverability. When brainstorming ideas before we decided on a two-wheeled design. Due to our design, the cart lasted through all the rounds despite the axle breaking during round four. The design had a lot of low and medium speed maneuverability, could swivel 360 degrees, and back pedal.

Summary:

This was the result of our modified microwave that was modified to cover more area of food that is being cooked. Our functional requirements were that it had to heat 50% more area than the regular microwave, plate rotates at least 1 rev/30 seconds, the plate also moves up and down, and to keep the cost under $300 for the overall product.

MMAE 432 is a capstone design course taken by all Mechanical Engineering students at the end of their senior year. Knowledge learned in previous courses was implemented into the design process to be able to successfully analyze designs. This course serves as a guide to transferring the skills that we learned in the classroom into becoming an engineers in industry. The focus of the class is a team-based project conceptualized and developed by us the students.
